Do You Have An Occupation in Demand?
If your nominated occupation is on the Migration Occupations in Demand List (MODL) at the time your application is assessed you can be awarded additional points. The MODL lists occupations from within the Skilled Occupations List (SOL) that are identified as being in demand in Australia. More points can be awarded if you have a job offer from an employer in Australia.
You should be aware that occupations on the MODL change from time to time. The MODL is reviewed twice a year to take into consideration existing and emerging skills shortages. This does not mean the list is changed twice a year. Changes only occur if there has been a significant change in labour market trends.
Priority processing
if your nominated occupation is on the MODL, your General Skilled Migration visa application will receive priority processing.
